An odd spirit, a tireless dreamer, and an imaginative adventurer, Frédéric is a multidisciplinary artist and craftsman. Since childhood, he has thrived in a healthy duality between sports and arts, juggling physical activity with creativity. A singer-songwriter, he also explores visual arts, woodworking, and crafts (drawing, painting, and upcycling).
A multi-instrumentalist since his teens, he accompanied his violinist mother on guitar, playing classical and folk pieces at weddings and other cultural events, which became his first concerts. Influenced by the musicality of his parents and grandparents, he grew up surrounded by his family and musician friends, exploring various musical styles, from folk, classic, Celtic to punk, rock, metal, and reggae-alternative. Honing his skills as a singer, songwriter, and modern-day minstrel...
A trained soldier and firefighter, Frédéric Ferland loves action. Born in Montreal, the big city, he has always had the countryside and wilderness as his compass, like a wolf caught in urban traffic. He cherishes a simple life surrounded by nature and a self-sufficient environment—another of his passions. A forester and amateur sailor in his spare time since arriving in the Maritimes, he draws great inspiration from the lush forests, rivers, and sea of this beautiful region. By joining his brother J-M, he helped shape the sound of Land of Lions, adding a creative depth supported by his diverse instruments and his undeniable devotion for the language of the soul.
